Prerequisites
Before booking, check you meet the eligibility requirements for the course. Some courses may have specific prerequisites or requirements that you need to meet to attend, e.g., CITB refresher courses. Please contact us prior to booking if you are uncertain.
A good understanding of spoken and written English will be necessary to attend and complete the course successfully.
Special Requirements & Reasonable Adjustments
On booking, it is the delegates / employer's responsibility to inform us of any special requirements a delegate may have, including language problems, reading and writing difficulties etc.
At the point of notice, we will offer help and advice on options available to the delegate to help with any special requirements.
Where delegates are attending a physical skills course e.g. First Aid or Manual Handling. The person making the booking is responsible to ensure attendees are free from any conditions which would affect their capability and aptitude to cope with the course of study. As per our policies, we welcome delegates with disabilities, but it remains the employer’s responsibility to ensure they are properly supported in their workplace.
Minimum Age Requirement
We are unable to test anyone under the age of 16 years old.
Identification Requirements
All awarding bodies require that delegates provide acceptable identification before examination can take place. Failure to produce photographic identification will result in your test being cancelled without refund.

Payments
Payment is due at the point of booking via our secure payment facility on our website using a debit / credit card.
Cancellations
Any cancellation must be made in writing (including by email)
If a delegate can no longer attend and written notification is received with more than 10 working days before the course start date, the full amount paid will be refunded.
If a delegate can no longer attend and written notification is received within 10 working days or less of the course start date, 50% of the amount paid will be refunded.
Safe Start Safety & Training reserves the right at any time to postpone or cancel any Training Course at its absolute discretion and without providing reasons.
Any Fees paid shall be refunded unless we offer, and the Client accepts an alternative date. No responsibility will be accepted for any incidental or consequential loss resulting from such a cancellation.
Rescheduling
If a delegate can no longer attend, they can rebook to a future dated course at no extra cost if they advise us in writing within 2 full working days or more before the course date. Reschedule requests with less than 2 full working days notice will not be accepted, and no refund will be given.
Substitutions / Transfers
If a delegate can no longer attend a course date, they can nominate another person to attend the same course date in their place, provided 2 full working days notice is given in writing with the replacement delegate's personal details. This will incur no charge.
Course Amendments
Occasionally, due to circumstances beyond our control, alterations to timing and/or content of courses may become necessary. We therefore reserve the right to modify the course information or course tutor without prior notice.
